CCIG Life West

The CCIG Life West 7s team is a new program established to assist US players with domestic and international opportunities at the highest level.

California Capital & Investment Group (CCIG) founder and CEO, Phil Tagami, has teamed up with Life West Rugby in a collaborative effort that sees players from within the Life West Rugby program and from around the US, come together in a high performance  environment with a small number of international players. The international flavor adds to the growing reputation of Life West Rugby.

Based out of the Bay Area with training facilities in Oakland & Hayward, CA, the CCIG Life West 7s team were the first team to qualify for the 2019 USA Rugby Club 7s National Championship.

Collegiate All-Americans

The Collegiate All-American Sevens team has a sterling reputation for developing sevens and fifteens Eagles throughout its history. No other American pathway program has as good a strike rate of participants becoming Eagles.
As one of the earliest champions of RugbyTown 7s, the Collegiate All-Americans have lofty expectations which they’ve recently met with a third place finish in 2018, and a bowl championship in 2017.
Head Coach Steve Lewis has won nearly every championship available to him in America including a 2018 national sevens championship with Bulldog rugby. Coach Lewis has put together a winning career nearly two decades long while helming teams such as the Vail Rugby Club, Old Blue of New York, Army West Point Women, and the Jamaican National team.
This year’s team features the best players American Universities have to offer with representatives from nine universities and ten states.

Lomaiviti Rugby Club USA

Lomaiviti Rugby USA is named after a province nestled in the central region of Fiji. Lomaiviti islands are a group of islands known to many as the Lomaiviti group. Through the years the province is known to have produced rugby 7s legends like Waisale Serevi, Marika Vunibaka, the Raulini brother’s, and many more.

Since its inception in October 2017, the club takes pride in spreading and creating awareness of rugby among youths, while building mentor-ship and leadership with empowerment of strong values like self discipline, community volunteering and being responsible young men.

Lomaiviti has been to tournaments in and around California, Hawaii, Utah, Las Vegas and here in the beautiful city of Glendale, CO.

Lomaiviti Rugby USA is based in Santa Rosa, CA and has sister clubs in the UK, NZ, Fiji. We are fortunate enough to be given the opportunity twice to be here in Glendale participating at the famous and rising Rugby Town 7s.

Marlborough Compeed 7s

This season has been a challenging one for the Marlborough Compeed 7s as they have gone from being an independent team to joining up with the Marlborough RFC. This gives them the opportunity to be sponsored by the Club Sponsor Compeed®. The CEO of Pharma (Compeed®), David Wright, who has been involved with Marlborough RFC for a number of years and has been the President of the Club since 2014. They have high hopes for the future and with this additional funding and support they hope to achieve many great things.  So, to make the connection between the 7s team and the 15s it was decided that it would be more appropriate if the team name was changed from LOMAIVITI to Marlborough Compeed® 7s.  Through this, the 7s team has been able to participate in both the domestic 7s scene as well as many of the international tournaments, thanks to the financial support of Compeed® as well as their other more local sponsors.  This season they have been running an Academy team alongside the dedicated 7s side. Those who show the skill and desire to want to move up into the Elite team have been given that opportunity and are therefore helping to bring new talent through and laying the groundwork for the future of Marlborough Compeed®7s.

NOLA Gold was founded in 2017 by longtime New Orleans rugby legend Tim Falcon. A member of the inaugural MLR season in 2018, NOLA missed the playoffs in that year finishing with a record of 3-5 and 6th on the table. 2019 saw a blazing start from the Gold all but come up short of playoffs once again finishing with a record of 9-7 and 5th on the table. NOLA Gold is committed to growth of our game in New Orleans and its surrounding areas in a number of ways such as our youth camps & competitions, U19 group/player academy system & the NOLA Gold Foundation. Our players & staff are made up from all different backgrounds which fits well with the city of New Orleans being a cultural melting pot and having some of the most sports-mad fans in the country!
